Four new interactive signs have been installed at the Wegmans playground at Onondaga Lake Park.
The signs mark the two-year anniversary of the Talking is Teaching: Talk, Read, Sing Campaign and the Early Childhood Alliance Onondaga.
The playground signs offer parents and caregivers positive, informative messages and suggestions on how to engage with their children.
“We’re going to invest in our young people, starting at birth in various innovative ways so that they can be on grade level so that they don’t get behind, that they don’t graduate high school, and get careers. That’s good business, that’s the right thing to do,” said Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon.
You’ll also start seeing the signs at local libraries at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo.
