Ithaca Police are investigating new leads in the cold case of a Red Cross Shelter worker who was found murdered nearly 30 years ago.
The body of David Malcom, 26, was found in an office at the Court Street Red Cross Shelter on Feb. 12, 1987.
Police say they’ve identified a suspect, but they are not releasing the suspect’s name while they gather more evidence for the District Attorney’s office to present to a grand jury.
They say the suspect no longer lives in Tompkins County – but declined to say where the person does live.
Police have pursued more than 100 leads since September 2015, and have traveled as far as the West Coast to interview possible witnesses.
If you have any information that might help police in their investigation, call the Ithaca Police Department at (607) 272-9973 and press No. 1.
