Syracuse Police are investigating after multiple children on the city’s North Side reportedly were chased and harassed by suspects in clown costumes.

Police responded to the scene at the intersection of Spring and Court streets around 7 a.m. after a suspicious person was reported.

A 10-year-old boy who police saw hiding between two houses told them three people dressed as clowns “engaged him” and got in his way.

The boy told police he was “extremely afraid” and ran away.

Police searched the area, but did not find suspects matching the description.

Other children in the neighborhood, however, told police that they were also chased by people dressed as clowns.
