After suffering a massive stroke last week, Luke Perry, the actor best known for his role on “90210,” has died, TMZ reports.
The celebrity tabloid reports the star passed away Monday morning at St. Joseph Hospital in Burbank. He had been at the hospital since suffering the stroke last Wednesday.
According to TMZ, doctors sedated the star with hopes that he could recover, but it appears his brain had suffered too much damage.
Perry was known for his role as Dylan McKay on “Beverly Hills, 90210” and most recently for his role as Archie’s Dad, Fred Andrews, on “Riverdale.” He was 52 years old.
Perry’s death comes a week after FOX announced it would reboot Beverly Hills, 90210, bringing back much of the original cast. According to TMZ, Perry planned to take a guest role but wasn’t planning on coming back full-time due to his role on Riverdale.
