Researchers Say Diabetes Deaths Are Under-Reported

According to a recent study, more people die from diabetes than previously thought.

Researchers from the University of Pennsylvania and Boston University found that the death rate among people with diabetes was 90 percent higher than those who were not diabetic.

The results also revealed that diabetes as the ‘underlying cause of death’ was underreported.

Experts believe one theory could be that people with diabetes commonly have other complications such as cardiovascular disease and kidney disease.
