The New York State Department of Transportation announced Thursday that beginning October 30, bridge painting work being conducted on State Route 223 (Swartwood Hill Road) in the Town of Van Etten will require a Road Closure.
Beginning at 7 am on October 30, 2017 and ending at 5:30 pm on November 16, 2017, motorists will be detoured onto CR-24 (Decker Road) and proceed 1.3 miles to CR-3 (Wyncoop Creek Road). Turn left on CR-3 (Wyncoop Creek Road) and proceed .85 miles to NY-224. Turn right to go towards Village of Van Etten, or turn left to go back towards NY-223 (Swartwood Hill Road). Signs will be in place to help detour traffic around Road Closure. All Bridge Painting work is anticipated to be completed on November 16, 2017.
The project will consist of bridge painting of the primary and secondary members.
Motorists may encounter flaggers, lane shifts and could experience travel delays.
