ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – The MV^2 Foundation is sponsoring a free and open to the public presentation to help raise awareness about the misuse and abuse of opioids, prescription drugs and alcohol and drug use.
Co-founder Dave Viera says the organizations goal is to convert pain and grief of lost loved ones into positive actions and to educate and support our community against the opioid epidemic.
The presentation will be Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 7:00 PM at the Charles and Mary Crossed Auditorium at Notre Dame High School.
Becky Savage, founder of the 525 Foundation, is a parent who lost two sons on the same night due to acute alcohol and oxycodone use. She will be the keynote speaker, bringing awareness on the issue and try to help prevent another family from having to endure the pain of such tragedy, through the use of outreach, education and support.
