Serial bank robber arrested in Oneida County


ORISKANY FALLS, N.Y. – The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection to the bank robbery that took place in Oriskany Falls earlier in May. 71-year-old Walter Parker is facing felony charges of robbery and criminal use of a firearm. 

Parker has committed multiple bank robberies throughout the state since 2004. This incident took place on May 8, 2019. Parker allegedly traveled from Jefferson County to the Berkshire Bank on Main Street in Oriskany Falls.

Parker entered the bank armed, and was wearing a cowboy hat when he took off after taking an undetermined amount of money from the branch.

Parker is being held in the Oneida County jail, and the investigation is ongoing.
