The New York State Health Department is set to hold a public meeting for all current former staff of Southside High School, which is now Elmira High School, on Thursday, Feb. 7.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss health concerns related to soil and air quality contamination on the school grounds. Clean-up efforts for contamination found below the ground of the high school’s property have been ongoing for years.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Elmira High School gymnasium. It is open to anyone who wants to voice their concerns.
