This week, Scott and Ally are very excited about Dunkin’s recent announcement: On April 1, the chain will begin selling Peeps-flavored coffee and a Peeps-inspired donut. No, this is not an April Fool’s joke!
Another new item on the market that’s not an April Fool’s joke – “goth” Crocs. The shoes are being sold on Etsy for $260.
Milennials are notorious for ditching long-held traditions, so it comes as no surprise that “loaner” engagement rings are becoming increasingly popular. A new report from Vox describes the new trend, where couples choose stones that aren’t diamonds, or to use placeholder engagement rings. In the latter case, a jeweler allows the customer to place a deposit in the $50 to $200 range for an alternative, so that couples have time to save up for the rock they want, or the ring wearer has time to make a decision on an ideal style. In 2018, Helzberg Diamonds released the “Will You?” ring, a $50 silver band engraved with the phrase, “This is a ring, not the ring.” Purchasing it guarantees the consumer a couple hundred dollars off a diamond engagement ring, whenever he or she is ready to get one.
Scott and Ally also celebrate Corning’s nomination for “Best Main Street in America,” a national contest that would award the city a plethora of prizes.
