The Chemung County Sunrise Rotary Club provides helping hand

News

The Chemung County Sunrise Rotary Club is spearheading an effort to provide bags and luggage to local foster children.

To supply the abundance ot bags, it requires a lot of money.

On Sunday April 7th you can bowl as many games as you want for $10. All money raised will go directly towards the rotary club’s efforts. The fundraiser will be from 1 p.m . to 3 p.m. at Rossi (ross-eye) Bowling Alley in Elmira.

“We want children to feel like they’re worthwhile that when they move to another home they can put their belongings in a bag, not a garbage bag which is what we heard was going on,” said President of the Chemung County Sunrise Rotary Club Melissa Moore.

The Elmira Heights Rotary Club and the Horseheads Kiwanis Club are also pitching in to help.
