Back in July 2018, it was announced that after about a two-year hiatus, hockey would be returning to First Arena. The excitement began to grow as the dawn of a new era was on the horizon.
Through doubt and some setbacks, the new team under the leadership of Robbie Nichols and Brent Clark, ended the season with a second overall finish in the standings.
As if enough records, like attendance and sponsored events, weren’t already broken in this inaugural season, on April 13th it was announced the Enforcers did what has never been done here before.
Now the excitement continues to grow as the Enforcers head to their first-ever championship. On Wednesday night the Enforcers boarded a bus with a slew of fans there to send them off.
The Enforcers will take on the Carolina Thunderbirds in a five-game “Commissioners Cup” championship series, set to begin on Friday. The Thunderbirds finished first in the FHL this season.
Now off for a ride, with a community cheering them on, all just wishing for the best.
