CORNING, N.Y. ( WETM – TV) – A revamped and re-tooled comfort care facility is currently being built in Corning.
Renovations for Bampas House will serve as a place for people facing end of life decisions.
“Our area is really a nursing home,” said President of the Board of Directors, Bampas House Joan Wilson. “Sometimes, you might not want that option, it’s a different environment. Here the care is twenty-four seven.”
The facility is located at 170 East First Street in Corning, New York.
One of the events to fund the soon to be facility is Bampas’ House 5K Run/walk.
“It’s not just a comfort care facility, this is a home, where people can feel comfortable,” said Race Director Bampas House 5K Pat Keeler.
Both Wilson and Keeler said this a huge project to undertake and they’re happy with the results. Bampas House has hope to be up and running sometime this year.
The Third Annual Bampa’s House 5K Run/Walk/Kids Obstacle Course will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019.
