TROUPSBURG, N.Y. (WETM) July 4th has come and gone, but the celebrations continued into the weekend in Troupsburg.
Residents from the community and from far out came out for the town’s annual Heritage Days.
Spectators got to see local bands, volunteer firefighters and floats parading through the center of town.
One organizer said the festival shows a small town’s spirit.
“What it means to the community is to celebrate the 4th of July, to celebrate Independence Day, to remind people of a historic community,” Joe Ogrodowski, a member of Troupsburg’s Betterment Committee, said. “It’s kind of to bring the community together even though it’s a small community.”
Children got the chance to play on inflatables and even get their picture taken as a cartoon character with character cutouts.
