ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – The former Jones Court in Elmira, now known as Libertad held its apartment tours.
The revamped complex community offers affordable rents, on-site supportive services, a neighborhood co-op, and an adjacent park.
Perspective apartment hunters say Libertad provides a safe and comfortable home base. One local resident admitted the project is close to her heart.
“I’m here to celebrate a new beginning for this building,” said Elmira resident Roxana Duarte. “I also remember it as Jones court. The community of people that lived here. There is a lot of memories from that time for me.”
Some residents said this building is a great step forward in the right direction for Elmira and the project has progressed well.
