ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) — On July 16, Karl Kozemko, a U.S. Air Force veteran and Millport resident, passed a milestone blood donation at the West Elmira Fire Department blood drive.
On Friday, Kozemko crossed the five gallon donation mark.
The Red Cross estimates that for every pint donated, up to three lives are saved. That means Kozemko’s donations have affected or saved up to 120 people. It took less than 40 hours of Kozemko’s time to donate the five gallons.
