Mega Millions Ticket Worth $2,000,000 Sold in Binghamton

Binghamton, N.Y. (WETM) – The New York Lottery is announcing today one second-prize ticket for the January 8 Mega Millions drawing. The ticket is worth a guaranteed $2,000,000.

The ticket was purchased at Love’s Travel Stop #403, located at 2 Industrial Park Drive in Binghamton.

The working store manager says she and the employees were excited when they heard the news.

“We were completely amazed and it’s awesome considering our current, you know, situation the economy and we’re, we’re just amazed. They’re [the employees were] like super excited like you know it could happen for them or anybody,” said the store manager.

The winning numbers for the Mega Millions game are drawn from a field of one to 70. The Mega Ball is drawn from a separate field one to of 25. The Mega Millions drawing is televised every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m.
