ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – 18 news first brought you the story back in December of an abused dog from the Northern Tier working on rehabilitation.

Yesterday an event was held in Wellsboro to honor the dog. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot was at the event before heading to her forever home.

18 news was at the Roost in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania where a portion of the proceeds of last night’s event will benefit the animals of Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries.

Governor Cuomo needs to get the legislature to agree, and he already has some bipartisan support.

Republican Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay’s office has told our sister station in Syracuse that he supports an extended state fair. If approved, the fair cracks the list of top five longest fairs in the country and the second-longest state fair after texas. Next, the work begins to get vendors to sign on to the additional days.
