Ulster, PA . (WETM – TV) – Clear the shelters in the Twin Tiers is kicking off.

This annual event is on August 17.

Take a look at some of the adoptable dogs at the Bradford County Humane Society.

Ferris:

Brindle with a black saddle, Ferris is sporty and active.  He came to the shelter as a stray and he has won our hearts.  He is friendly to everyone, and full of energy.   He is a neutered male terrier mix, about 4 years of age.

Abbie:

Abbie is a senior dog, but about the best dog you will ever find.  She is friendly to everyone, knows lots of tricks, and smart as a whip.  She is a spayed female beagle/bulldog mix, and is twelve years of age.

Sherlock:

Sherlock is a great character of a dog.  He will walk all day with you, and then lay on the couch watching television all evening.   He has massive stamina, and is just a big, lovable party of a dog.  He is a neutered male Blue Tick Hound and is eight years old.

Buck:

Buck is a old English Labrador mix.  He is joyful and loopy, and energetic but still would like to hunt.  Buck is a neutered male about 7 years old.

Bentley:

Bentley is a friendly and loving dog.  He would fit into just about any family and be a great companion.   He is about 4 years old, and not yet neutered.

Shadow:

Shadow is a gorgeous, intelligent and large dog, who does not want to adjust to shelter life.  He needs to find a very patient, very stable adopter that knows how to handle large dogs.  He was surrendered by a family member at the shelter and has not lost his sense of betrayal, and he still grieves.  If you talk to him about “family” he starts to howl.  He is a mix of Great Dane and German Shepherd.
