UPDATE: 1:01 P.M. (WETM-TV) – The Watkins Glen Police Department have made an arrest in a late-night car chase in the Village of Watkins Glen.
Brandon S. Fuller, 28 of Beaver Dams, was arrested for Two Counts of Reckless Endangerment both Class D Felonies, 1 Count of Misdemeanor Unlawfully Fleeing a Police Officer in the 3rd Degree, Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident, Reckless Driving, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree and Driving While Intoxicated.
Just after 8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 30th, the Watkins Glen Police Department was dispatched to a possible Domestic Dispute on S. Madison Ave in the Village of Watkins Glen. Upon arrival, an officer came in contact with Fuller in a Black Ford Pickup Truck.
Fuller proceeded to start the vehicle and take off on the officer. The officer called out a pursuit and pursued the suspect South on S. Madison Ave then East onto 6th St. as the suspect vehicle collided with another vehicle at the Intersection with Franklin Street. (The suspect vehicle suffered heavy front end damage, the second vehicle suffered heavy rear passenger side damage. Only Minor Injuries were reported at the time of the accident.) After the impact, the officer lost sight of the suspect vehicle but a witness pointed towards SR 14N. The suspect vehicle traveled at a high rate of speed North on SR 14N turning onto SR 14A then back Southbound on SR 14N back into and through the Village of Watkins Glen at speeds of 80 plus MPH. The suspect vehicle then turned onto SR 329, CR 17, CR 16 and onto SR 414S where the pursuit continued until the suspect vehicle ceased to operate.
Fuller was arraigned in the Village of Watkins Glen Court and committed to Schuyler County Jail on $750/$1500 Bail.
