A pedestrian struck by a Bath resident is in stable condition after suffering fractures and head injuries.

Bradley Vogt, 31, of Penn Yan was struck on State Route 54 in the Town of Milo by Roger Taft, 22, of Bath on July 8.

The Yates County Sheriff’s Office says that Taft made attempts to avoid hitting Vogt and that speed does not appear to be a factor at this time.

Vogt is scheduled to undergo surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital, and no charges are pending against Taft.
