Town of Lindley is now under a State of Emergency

According to the Steuben County Office of Emergency Management, the Town of Lindley has declared a State of Emergency for severe damage to the town highway system. All town roads are closed until they can be assessed and/or repaired. 

The hardest hit areas of the County areto be Town of West Union, Town of Woodhull, Town of Tuscarora and the Town of Lindley, according to the Steuben County Officer of Emergency Services.

Several roads in these towns were closed last night, but several are now reopened. There are still some roads closed from flood damage.

Town of Woodhull:

  • County Route 127 from Lunger Road to the Pennsylvania Border.
  • Herrington Road to CR 127

Town of Tuscarora:

  • County Route 85 from Murray Road to the Pennsylvania Border

Town of Lindley:

  • Stowell Road
  • Engle Road
  • Watson Creek
  • Morgan Creek
  • Griswold Road

The office of emergency service is advising travelers to drive with caution even on open roads.
