Toyota is recalling thousands of minivans in the U.S. due a problem that could lead the sliding door to open while driving.
The recall involves about 744,000 Toyota Sienna Minivans from model years 2011 – 2016.
Toyota said that if the car’s sliding door opening operation is impeded, it’s possible that the door’s motor circuit could be overloaded and open the fuse for the motor. If that happens when the door latch is in an unlatched position, the door could open while driving.
Toyota is currently developing a remedy for the problem.
