Here’s what’s Trending in the Twin Tiers on Dec. 11, 2018:

  • The Christmas movie classic “It’s a Wonderful Life” is being screened at select movie theaters across the country, including in the Twin Tiers. However, there is a twist, and screenings are not guaranteed. For the film to be screened at each location, a minimum of 25 people must reserve seats for the showing. Tickets can be reserved on Gathr.com, and people are encouraged to check the website to see if each screening has reached the minimum number of tickets before going to the theater.
  • Time magazine has revealed its Person of the Year: The Guardians and the War on Truth. The four covers feature journalists who have been in the news this year. They include Jamal Khashoggi, The Capital Gazette, Maria Ressa, and the wives of two Reuters journalists who were jailed after reporting on Muslim killings in Myanmar.
