Runners around the world competed in the 123rd Boston marathon on Monday. For Corning Resident, Megan Luckner, it was her eighth marathon.
After starting her running career in 2014 Luckner has devoted her Sunday’s to running 20-plus miles and recovering. While it’s taken over a large part of her life, Luckner said anyone who is interested in running a marathon should go for it.
“It takes a lot but it would change your life,” she said. “It will test your strength. I just looking back from my experience, I’m so proud of myself and everything I accomplished. I relate it to very day life issues. I say if i can run a marathon under 3 hours, what else I can do?”
Megan said she celebrated the accomplishment with a nice beer at the finish line!
