Many Twin Tiers residents decided to get some fresh air and try to score Black Friday shopping deals Thursday night.
Long lines were seen outside of both Target and Best Buy on County Route 64 in Chemung County.
18 News was inside Best Buy as the doors were opened to shoppers at 5 pm but it wasn’t a mad dash like many viral videos in years past.
Shoppers seemed respectful while still being on a mission to find what they were looking for.
Some of the shoppers said leaving the house to go to shopping centers is also part of their holiday tradition.
“We’re not here just for the mad romp to go shopping,” said shopper James Gallagher.
“We make it a — its a family thing.”
As for the most popular item customers seemed to be looking for Thursday night?
That would be TVs.
