Veteran raises millions of dollars for Trump’s border wall

News

As President Trump holds out for the U.S.-Mexico border wall funding from Congress, a GoFundMe account has raised nearly $8 million in just three days to build the wall, as of early Thursday evening.

Building the border wall was one of President Trump’s campaign promises. He has fallen short on attempts to secure the $5 billion in funding.

The fundraiser, started by Brian Kolfage, an Iraq war veteran and triple amputee, has a goal to reach $1 billion on his GoFundMe page

Kolfage said he made contact with the Trump Administration, and legal firm, to ensure that the government could not use the money for anything but a wall.

Well over a hundred thousand people have already donated to the fund in just the past few days.
