“Losing my baby was the hardest thing I will ever have to go through and there was so many emotions with that,” Megan Thompson said.

Megan Thompson, from Bath N.Y., was pregnant with twin boys when her water broke at just 23 weeks. The babies were immediatley taken to the NICU at Arnot Ogden Medical Center where one of them died after just 11 days.

“I feel like I broke down a lot especially in the beginning and especially after losing Colson and everything was just really hard and there was just a lot of emotions with that but thankfully I have a really good support system that helped me get through everything,” Megan said.

Megan encourages women to talk about the emotions they go through after pregnancy.

“Throughout our journey, talking about how I’m doing and everything that we’re going through has been such a big help for me,” Megan said.

“I think that women should feel ok with healing themselves. You go through so much that it’s ok to not be ok sometimes,” Megan adds.
