The world’s most famous giraffe family was on national TV again Thursday to make a big announcement.

Animal Adventure owner Jordan Patch appeared live on Good Morning America from the park in Harpursville.

The interview marked the six month birthday of the giraffe calf Tajiri whose gestation and birth were followed by millions of viewers on the internet earlier this year.

Tajiri has grown from standing 5 feet 9 inches tall at birth to almost 10 feet.

When asked by the GMA anchor team, Patch wouldn’t say whether April is pregnant again.

“We cannot confirm nor deny a new pregnancy for our giraffes, but what we can say is that she’s been cleared by the veterinarian team to have another pregnancy.  Oliver and April are sharing space, nature can take its course and should it call on us, we’ll be ready,” said Patch.

Patch says the famous web cam is back up so viewers can watch to see if April and Oliver “connect” as Patch puts it.

He says that if April does conceive, the camera will likely move to another exhibit until she gets further along in her pregnancy.

Stay tuned, sloth cam may be next.
