The Athens, Pennsylvania area school district will be closed beginning Friday, September 7 until Friday, September 14 due to visible signs of mold.

According to the Athens Area High School Facebook page, the district was notified that a room at Harlan Rowe Middle School had visible signs of mold.

“While visual evidence was only found in Harlan Rowe we are going to remediate every classroom in the district. We will return to school once we have tested and confirmed that air quality tests are at acceptable levels,” the School District said.
