Sales tax revenue in Chemung County is up 6.54 percent through the first quarter of 2018.

The increase represents a growth $913,500.17 in sales tax revenue numbers throughout the County for the first part of 2018.

Chemung County generated nearly $1.2 million in gross sales tax receipts so far this year. According to Chemung County Executive, Tom Santulli, and Southern Tier Economic Growth President, Mike Krusen, if this level continues, that could bring the County to the same level of collection it had in 2011.
