Eight animals left abandoned for two weeks

News -

Tanner’s Paws, in Corning, has been updating the public with Facebook videos on an animal abandonment case.

Two adult dogs, five puppies and one kitten have been found in a Corning home. Tanner’s Paws first received the call the morning of Sept. 4 and responded immediately.

Tanner’s Paws founder Christine Speciale made Facebook live videos stating the animals were infested with fleas. She said all of the animals have been given three baths because of the immense amount of fleas crawling on their fur.

Speciale said some of the puppies had glitter glue on them. The father dog to the puppies had bald patches on his fur from the fleas. Speciale said police are currently investigating the case.

Currently, the animals are under the care of Tanner’s Paws. The puppies and the mother dog have found fosters. The father dog is still looking for someone to care for him.
