Elmira Woman Facing Misdemeanor Charges for Welfare Fraud

An Elmira woman is arrested for welfare fraud on Thursday. 

31-year-old Keshia Derr is facing charges for the criminal use of a public benefit card. 

An investigation conducted by the Department of Social Services Special Investigation Unit and the Elmira Police Department found Derr sold her food stamp benefits to a third party. 

Derr is facing misdemeanor charges.
