The Main Kitchen and Main Street Bar at First Arena are getting back in compliance after a series of violations are found by the Chemung County Department of Health earlier this month.
At the Main Kitchen — three public health hazards and ten other violations were found.
At the Main Street Bar — two public health hazards and six violations were found.
Among the violations were an inaccurate food thermometer, improper storage and cooling of chicken wings, and fruit flies near the bar to name a few.
First Arena’s General Manager, Bob Thomas, tells 18 News:
“We are working closely with the Health Department regarding the recent inspection. As you will notice in their report, immediate corrections were made while the inspector was present. The one Critical Issue cited for previous violations first occurred in 2015, under a different management team. The piece of equipment in question is no longer in use. We have a conference scheduled with the Heath Department to ensure on-going compliance.”
