The execution of a search warrant in Arkport leads to the arrest of five people in connection to the manufacturing of methamphetamine on Thursday.
At about 6:00 p.m. New York State Police and Investigators from N. Hornell, Wayland, and Bath, as well as the Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team executed the search warrant at #8917 Ct. Rt. #52 in the hamlet of Burns, the home of 48-year-old Carter L. Snyder.
Investigators found components of equipment used to manufacture meth.
The following are charged with the unlawful manufacture of meth and the unlawful disposal of meth laboratory material:
Carter L. Snyder, 48 of Arkport, N.Y.
James Batrowny, 38 of Elmira, N.Y.
Sarah Rideout, 29 of Canisteo, N.Y.
Nicholas E. Rideout, 29 of Canisteo, N.Y.
Jennifer L. Ellis, 27 of Almond, N.Y.
They were all arraigned and sent to the Steuben County Jail. Snyder and Batrowny are being held without bail, Nicholas and Sarah Rideout are being held on $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 property bond, and Ellis on $4,000 cash bail or $8,000 property bond.
Further arrests are pending.
