Many Canadian health care employees are admitting to working while they are sick.
Researchers analyzed data from over 27-hundred employees who worked at nine Canadian hospitals.
The employees were asked to fill out daily online illness diaries whenever they came down with symptoms of the flu, colds or other respiratory diseases.
The studies show that 95-percent have worked a shift while they were sick.
They say that is because mainly because the symptoms were mild or because the symptoms had started while they were already at work.
Most of the employees said they were already entitled to their paid sick leave.
