A memorial for Maleah Davis was held Saturday in Arkansas.
The service comes after Houston authorities confirmed that the child’s body was discovered in a trash bag.
The tragic story of Maleah Davis is still on many minds and hearts; to honor her a special memorial was created in Fulton Arkansas place her remains were found.
People came from all over the country to honor her spirit and pay their respects. They laid toys, flowers and other gifts to remember her spirit.
Debbie Gulley is the founder of gorgeous women of Texarkana, an organization that works to honor child abuse victims. Gulley she says Maleah’s death affects everyone.
“She’s all our little girls she could be my grandchild her grandchild we all have children, we drive this highway all the time and never knew she was there.”
During the memorial a billboard of Maleah was unveiled. Organizers say people from across the arklatex reached out to donate money towards the billboard, as kind gesture to make sure her memory isn’t forgotten.
