A former Painted Post resident has been arrested on charges handed up in a 2015 sealed indictment by a Steuben County Grand Jury.
Todd W. Calton, 55, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was recently located in the Pittsburgh area as a fugitive from justice and extradited back to New York, according to New York State Police at Bath.
Calton is charged with one count of first-degree scheme to defraud, two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, and one count of petit larceny.
New York State Police allege that Calton, an owner of a garage door installation business, received payment from multiple customers, and failed to perform the agreed upon service.
Upon his return to New York, he was sent to the Steuben County Jail while he awaits an appearance in Steuben County Court.
His arrest is a result of an investigation conducted by Steuben County District Attorney’s Office.
