The actions of one local man led police to catching the suspect in a hit and run, which left a 68 yr old hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver responsible, 40 Year old Sara Harnas of Elmira Heights was arrested for a D.W.I. and more charges are expected. 

As measles cases continue to spike at an alarming rate across the country, New York City is taking dramatic action with a new order that will slap a $1,000 fine on people in certain zip codes who are not vaccinated, and potentially shut down schools that don’t ban unvaccinated kids. 

Pittsburgh’s mayor signed a bill into law Tuesday that bans certain assault-style weapons. The passage was met with cheers from family members of the Tree of Life synagogue shooting victims, but with a lawsuit from gun rights advocates.

WINK 106 and the Radisson Hotel in Corning are hosting Cocktails for the Cure on Wed. April 10 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m at the Raddison Hotel on Denison Parkway in Corning. The event raises funds for the Susan G. Komen Twin Tiers Race for the Cure on Sunday, May 19. Attendees 21 and over can purchase one drink ticket for $10 or buy two drink tickets for $15.
