The murder case of Kelley Stage Clayton will be featured on Friday’s episode of NBC’s Dateline.

Kelley Stage Clayton was murdered on Sept. 29, 2015 in her Town of Caton home.
Prosecutors say Thomas Clayton, a Binghamton native and former Elmira Jackals hockey player, hired a former employee, Michael Beard, to kill Kelley in exchange for money.
In February, a Steuben County Court jury found Clayton guilty of first- and second-degree murder following a nearly seven-week trial. He is scheduled to be sentenced on April 24.

Beard was convicted of the same charges following his trial in November 2016 and was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
A third man in the case, Mark Blandford, pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter and is scheduled to be sentenced on April 17. Blandford agreed to ride with Beard to the Clayton home, in exchange for money, and testified at Clayton’s trial in exchange for a plea deal.
WETM-18 and reporter Tanner Jubenville provided in-depth coverage throughout the trials.
Jubenville sat down with Dateline and is featured in Friday’s episode discussing the murder case and the trials against Beard and Clayton.
Watch the episode Friday, March 24 at 9 p.m. only on WETM-18.
