The Steele Memorial Library is getting an upgrade. Work is underway for a new teen space. The new space will still have books and computers as any other part of the library would, just with a different backdrop.
The library looks to host a few game nights and interactive events to encourage teens to use the library. It will be a safe place for young adults to have a good time.
“So the teens will be able to hang out with their friends,” said Doris Metzger. “It’s a place to socialize have fun, but also all of the books all of the computers will be in one space so that they can study and read for pleasure, do gaming on the computers, do homework.”
The renovation is expected to be complete by the end of April, with a grand opening date set for May.
