Deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office responded to a woman on Seneca Road holding a knife to her throat on April 4.
According to the Hornell Tribune, the woman was in a doctor’s office in North Hornell when deputies responded Thursday morning.
A member of the Steuben County Crisis Negotiation team arrived and the woman was disarmed and taken into protective custody without injury.
The woman has since been taken to a mental health facility.
