The Road Patrol Division of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office has a new member.

Deputy Andrew Hawk is a 2016 graduate of the Southern Tier Law Enforcement Academy.
He was sworn in on Thursday at the County Public Safety building.
Those in attendance were his wife, parents, and several members of the Sheriff’s Office such as Sheriff Jim Allard and Undersheriff John McNelis.
Hawk is also a graduate of Liviona Senior High School in Livingston County. He earned an A.A.S. in criminal justice from Corning Community College and a bachelor’s degree from New England Conservatory.
Previous employment includes the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office and the Watkins Glen Police Department.
In addition to responding to both emergency and non-emergency complaints, the county says deputies handle thousands of public service calls. They also investigate crimes and assist the Criminal Investigations Unit.
