The annual Cocktails For The Cure event raises money for breast cancer

The annual Cocktails For The Cure event took place at The Radisson inCorning, on Wednesday night.

The event raised money towards the Susan G. Komen Twin Tiers Race For The Cure. Attendees and community members bought drink cards and raffles to support the event.  

“One of the things your money goes towards is mammograms, taking someone to their mammogram, or buying someone wig or a specialized bra,” Ally Payne, the Wink 106 host who put on the event, said. “Every dollar you buy here goes to those services.”

The Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure is on Sunday, May 19th. Registration is open now.

“I came for the Susan G. Komen foundation and raising money,” Natalie Rockwell, a Corning resident, said. “I thought coming down and having a drink would friends would help out the local organization.”
