UPDATE: AMBER Alert for missing WNY teenager canceled

BRYON, NY (WROC) - The Amber Alert issued for 14-year-old Kamerie Elliot of Genesee County was canceled by New York State Police just after 7:00 p.m. Thursday night. 

Deputies say Pennsylvania State Police local Elliot and 22-year-old Guillermo Torres-Acevedo in Mansfield, Pennsylvania.

Elliot was not hurt and will be transported back to Genesee County.

Torres-Acevedo was arrested on warrants and is being held in Pennsylvania pending extradition proceedings.

New York State Police   Elliott was taken from West Bergen Road in Byron around 8 a.m. Thursday.

She is believed to be with 22-year-old Guillermo Torres-Acevedo, a Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes.

Torres-Acevedo was charged with rape earlier this week, according to the Genesee County District Attorney. 

Investigators say the victim in that case was a minor, but no other details were provided.

ORIGINAL STORY: 

An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing teen in Genesee County.

Troopers say 14-year-old Kamerie Elliot was taken from West Bergen Road in Byron around 8:00 a.m. Thursday morning. She is believed to be with 22-year-old Guillermo Torres-Acevedo, a Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes. He is about five-foot-six-inches tall and 180 pounds.

Elliot has brown hair and hazel eyes and is about 4-foot-11-inches tall and 140 pounds. She currently has blue hair, troopers add.

They are believed to be in a blue Dodge Journey SUV with the plates HHP-5458.
