CORNING, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - The following is a news release from the Corning Center
“Like any complaint from our residents, Corning Center on First Avenue responded swiftly and immediately to a possible situation involving bedbugs. Upon discovering that was true, the facility took direct action to remedy and isolate the incident as soon as we were notified.
Instantly, an exterminator was brought in and it was concluded that the incident was not an infestation, but a lone incident involving one particular room. The room has been fumigated and all of the personal items from the room were removed.
It is important to note that at Corning Center and all facilities within the Centers Health Care, continuously take aggressive, proactive steps conducting regular routine inspections for bed bugs as this has become an issue for various types consumer businesses, not only at healthcare facilities, throughout the country.”
