BIG FLATS, N.Y. (18 NEWS)- - A local business that started with just one person, has now grown to more than 50 and is announcing yet another expansion.
CemeCon, Inc. located in Big Flats is hosting a ribbon cutting for a brand new headquarters and production facility Wednesday, and we got a firsthand look at the new facility.
CemeCon president Gary Lake decided 20 years ago that this area was the right place for founding the tools coating company and over that time it's seen 4 expansions.
"We have added staff literally every year that we've been here so we started with one person and we're now at 50 and we add some every year based on the demand that goes up. We believe that the time is right with manufacturing increasing that we should see an escalation, so we are looking forward to adding staff over the next 3 to 5 years and also adding business," Lake said.
A number of local and state representatives are expected to attend Wednesday's ribbon cutting at the new headquarters.
