LIVINGSTON COUNTY, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - A correction officer who's overseen people behind bars is now behind bars himself.
New York State Police arrested this man, 38-year-old Raul Santiago for bribery, promoting prison contraband, and official misconduct.
Santiago was a corrections officer at the Livingston Correctional Facility.
An investigation by the State Department of Corrections said he was paid by an inmate to smuggle in synthetic marijuana.
Santiago was arraigned in the Livingston County Regional Court and remanded to the county jail.
