NICHOLS, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - Waverly man arrested for DWAI
The following is a news release from New York State Police in Owego:
On June 16, 2018 at 2:48 a.m., New York State Police at Owego arrested Wesley J. Garrity, age 65, of Waverly, NY for the felony of Driving While Ability Impaired by Combined Influence of Drugs or Alcohol. He was also issued several traffic tickets.
Troopers were dispatched to Tioga Downs in the town of Nichols after a vehicle struck a light pole and chain link fence. Troopers observed Garrity displaying several signs of impairment. He was subsequently arrested for DWAI.
Garrity was turned over to a sober third party and was issued appearance tickets. He is due in the town of Nichols Court on June 25, 2018.
