ELMIRA, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - Some basketball players traded in their jerseys for power tools and paint brushes Saturday.
The Elmira Eagles teamed up with Habitat for Humanity and spent the day fixing up a home for a family.
Habitat for Humanity is a non profit that builds houses and supplies housing at low prices for those in need.
The team is going into their second season and have been doing charity work in their spare time.
The Eagles will also be handing out school supplies from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on August 26 at Brand Park on 301-311 Maple Ave in Elmira.
